Conor lived and worked in Haiti from 1996 to 2008. During that time, he led the transformation of HELP from a single-student initiative into the largest university scholarship program in the country. In addition to his leadership at HELP, Conor served as a volunteer teacher, Deputy Director of the National Democratic Institute in Haiti, and Director of Haiti Programs for the American Institutes for Research.

He is a recognized social entrepreneur, honored as both an Ashoka Fellow and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA). Conor holds a B.A. in History from Brown University.
