Garry has dedicated more than 20 years to advancing education in Haiti. Since graduating from teacher’s college in 1990, he has taught in rural public schools, directed a Haitian-American magnet school, co-founded a high school, and served as a consultant to Haiti’s Ministry of Education. He joined HELP as Country Director in 2006, where he continues to champion access to higher education.

Garry has represented HELP at the White House Conference on the Americas and testified before the Haitian Parliament’s joint committee on education. He also serves as HELP’s representative to the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), an international network of French-speaking universities.
