“When I joined HELP, I stepped into a community of committed individuals working every day to build a more just society in Haiti, and I feel privileged to contribute by developing a leadership program that empowers students to embrace their identities, lead with purpose, and become lifelong agents of change.”
Meaghan has over twenty years of experience in teaching and academic program development, including sixteen years working with Haitian organizations. With a strong focus on civic engagement, community organizing, and critical leadership studies, she played a key role in shaping HELP’s Citizenship and Leadership Program into one of Haiti’s most rigorous post-secondary leadership initiatives.
As Academic Director at HELP, Meaghan oversees multiple programs, including English, Citizenship & Leadership, IT, and International Studies. She has also contributed to the development of two libraries in Port-au-Prince, led an after-school reading program, and designed a leadership curriculum for Haitian high schools. Meaghan holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education from St. Thomas University, a Public Administration credential from the Harvard Kennedy School, and certificates in Community Organizing, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Curriculum Design. She is currently training to become a certified Life Coach.
