Ansanm Nou Fò
May 2025
We write to you with an urgent update from Haiti. The country is in deep crisis. Port-au-Prince is under siege, violence is escalating, and government control is deteriorating by the day. Our students and staff are living through this turmoil — facing fear, displacement, and profound uncertainty. And yet, they stand strong.
Despite the chaos, 98% of our students remain enrolled. Universities have moved online, and we’ve mobilized to ensure every student has the tools and support to continue their studies virtually. Just last month, two of our students successfully defended their theses — work their professor called groundbreaking for Haiti.
In response to this critical moment, we launched the ansanm nou fò | Relief Fund — a direct and urgent initiative to protect our students, support our staff, and sustain our mission as we navigate one of the most volatile periods in Haiti’s recent history.
In a country where less than 10,000 students graduate each year from university, our students are proof of what’s possible when we stand together. With nearly 500 students and alumni in our growing community — and the commitment of our incredible staff and partners — we are sowing the seeds of lasting change. But we cannot do it without you.
This community’s past generosity has been a lifeline. Today, we ask you to stand with us once more — to stand with Haiti’s next generation of leaders and changemakers.
Ansanm nou fò. Stronger, together.
