Schaffler Jean-Louis is a professional with more than 10 years of experience in human resources management, social project and action plan development, and NGO accounting; as well as in the creation, management, and structural strengthening of non-profit organizations. Dedicated to the cause of the underprivileged and destitute in Haitian society, he founded a foundation (Fondation Lespwa pou Demen) and an orphanage (Haiti House of Hope) in 2011, aimed at helping children and youth of both sexes living in disadvantaged and marginalized areas of Haiti. He contributed to the development and publication of a document on the poverty index in Hinche in 2012.
In 2013, he participated in the creation and structuring of another foundation (Haiti Teach a Child Foundation), which works in the field of education.
Holding a Master 1 in Business Management and a double bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Management, he served as Director of Operations and Director of Finance at Good Neighbors International for over 9 years. He also worked as Technical Director for nearly 6 years at the Fondation Lespwa pou Demen and as Logistics Coordinator at Samaritan's Purse (in Haiti).
From 2010 to 2019, Schaffler contributed to the implementation of several community projects in Hinche (Salmorie, Juanaria area), Mirebalais (Pajès locality), and Cité Soleil (in partnership with the City Hall).
Since June 2022, Schaffler has been part of the HELP team, continuing his commitment to building a better and fairer Haiti.
