Stael Toussaint, Law '24, plans to pursue a career in law and support students in accessing educational opportunities. He grew up in Carrefour, a densely populated suburb of Port-au-Prince, where education became his refuge and motivation. Despite the many challenges of his environment, Stael excelled in secondary school, consistently maintaining the highest average in his class. His academic performance and determination earned him admission to Quisqueya University, where he began studying law.
In addition to his studies, Stael has a strong passion for tutoring and mentoring others. He volunteered his time to help his peers succeed in their college courses and was awarded a certificate in recognition of this contribution. For Stael, tutoring is more than just a time commitment—it’s about giving of yourself and showing up for others. He believes that sharing knowledge is a powerful way to uplift communities and create lasting change.
Now focused on his future as a lawyer, Stael is using his legal training to advocate for equal access to opportunity. He is determined to be a role model and to build a more just and educated society.
